And why would we even be close to Playa del Carmen?
Because Mexico doesn't end at the door of the all-inclusive restaurant.
Playa del Carmen has restaurants, bars, shops and nightlife.
From the area you can easily organize visits to cenotes, Tulum and various nature and theme parks.
Ferries to the island of Cozumel also depart from here.
And at least once it's worth getting out of the hotel and trying Mexico outside of the buffet.
