Bolivia is one of the most diverse destinations in South America. Within one trip, we will move from the tropical regions around Santa Cruz to the high plateaus of the Andes, we will explore colonial cities and ancient archaeological complexes, and we will reach Salar de Uyuni - the vast salt flat that has become one of the symbols of the country.

The program continues to La Paz, Tiwanaku and Lake Titicaca, and at the end a stop in Madrid is planned.

Day 1 | Sofia – Madrid – Santa Cruz

Departure from Sofia Airport with a flight via Madrid to Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check-in will be provided.

At a suitable arrival time, we will start with a first walk around Santa Cruz - one of the liveliest cities in the country.

We will visit the zoo, the central square "24 September", the Museum of Sacred Art at the cathedral, the Museum of Art and the La Recoba craft center. We will also visit ARTECAMPO - a place dedicated to the traditional crafts and culture of the different ethnic communities in Bolivia.

Day 2 | Santa Cruz – Jesuit Missions – Concepcion

Breakfast.

We travel to the area of historic Jesuit missions in eastern Bolivia.

Our first stop is Kotoka – an important pilgrimage site, known for the sanctuary of Our Lady of Kotoka.

We continue through Pailas and Pailon to San Javier – one of the oldest Jesuit mission settlements in the Chiquitos region.

We will visit the Church of San Javier, founded in 1691 and known for its characteristic architecture, carvings and frescoes. Here you can clearly see the combination of European religious art and local traditions.

After lunch we continue to Concepcion.

Check-in at the hotel and free time. If desired, there will be an opportunity to visit the local church.

Day 3 | Concepcion – Santa Cruz

Breakfast.

In the morning we will head to the stone hill of Kalama, from where there is a panoramic view of the area and the historic settlements of the Jesuit missions.

Next, we will visit the Mission Museum, where we will learn about the history of the Jesuit missions and the culture of the Chiquitano people. We will see traditional carvings, religious objects, and works of local craftsmen.

After lunch we head back to Santa Cruz.

On the way, we will stop at the Pakiou Rocks - an interesting natural landmark with characteristic stone formations.

Upon arrival in Santa Cruz we check into the hotel.

Day 4 | Santa Cruz – Sucre

Breakfast.

Transfer to the airport and flight to Sucre – the constitutional capital of Bolivia and one of the best preserved colonial cities in the country.

After check-in, a sightseeing tour begins.

We will visit Casa de la Libertad - the House of Freedom, where the declaration of independence of Bolivia was signed in 1825.

We continue to Recoleta Square and the panoramic platform, from where a view of the white city opens.

We will visit the ASUR textile museum, dedicated to the traditional fabrics and culture of Andean communities.

The program also includes the churches of Saint Lazarus and Santo Domingo, the monastery of San Felipe de Neri, and Bolivar Park.

Overnight in Sucre.

Day 5 | Sucre – Dinosaur Tracks – Potosi

Breakfast.

Today we will head to one of the most interesting places in the Sucre region – the paleontological deposits with dinosaur tracks.

We will visit Cal Orco, where thousands of prehistoric footprints have been preserved on an almost vertical rock face. The area is among the most important paleontological sites in the world.

We will also explore the Francesa area and the Natural History Museum, dedicated to geological history and the traces of ancient animals discovered in the region.

In the afternoon we travel to Potosi.

The journey takes approximately three hours through the mountainous regions of Bolivia.

Day 6 | Potosi – Uyuni

Breakfast.

In the morning we will explore Potosi – a historic city associated with the mining of silver from the Cerro Rico mountain and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

We will visit Casa de la Moneda – the historic mint, which today functions as a museum.

During the walk we will see the cathedral, the Magdalena de Cobiha arch, the San Lorenzo church and the San Francisco church.

After the tour we travel to Uyuni.

The journey passes through the high-altitude Altiplano plateau and lasts about four hours.

Accommodation at Luna Salada – a hotel located in close proximity to Salar de Uyuni and famous for its architecture built from salt blocks.

Overnight in Uyuni.

Day 7 | Salar de Uyuni – Incauassi Island – La Paz

Breakfast.

One of the most impressive days of the trip is ahead – a visit to Salar de Uyuni.

We will pass through Kolchani, where we will learn about the traditional mining and processing of salt.

We continue to the salt plain, where we will see the piles of salt and the characteristic "eyes of the salt pan".

Next, we visit Incahuasi Island, a rocky island rising in the middle of a vast white plain. The island is famous for its giant cacti and panoramic views of the Salar de Uyuni.

Lunch is planned.

In the afternoon we return to Uyuni.

In the late hours, there will be a transfer to the train station for a train trip to Oruro or a luxury bus to La Paz, depending on the specific date of departure.

Day 8 | La Paz

Arrival in La Paz around 07:00.

Transfer to the hotel and time for rest.

In the afternoon, the city tour begins.

We will visit the Valley of the Moon – a natural landmark shaped by erosion and known for its unusual rock formations.

We continue to the southern neighborhoods and the Kili Kili panoramic platform, from where there is a wide view of La Paz and the mountains surrounding the city.

We will walk along the historic Jaen Street and visit the Gold Museum.

Next are Murillo Square, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the traditional markets of La Paz.

We will also make time for the famous Witches' Market, where traditional amulets, herbs, and objects related to local Andean beliefs are sold.

Day 9 | La Paz – Tiwanaku – Lake Titicaca – Copacabana

Breakfast.

We travel to Tiwanaku – one of the most significant archaeological complexes in Bolivia.

We will explore the remains of the ancient city, including the Akapana Pyramid, the Kalasasaya Temple, the underground temple, and the stone monoliths.

After the tour and lunch, we continue to Lake Titicaca.

We will cross the Tiquina Strait by local ferry and continue to Copacabana – a small town on the shores of the lake.

Accommodation at Hotel Rosario del Lago or similar.

Overnight in Copacabana.

Day 10 | Copacabana – the island of the Sun – La Paz

Breakfast.

We travel by boat to the Island of the Sun – one of the sacred places associated with Inca mythology.

We will explore the ruins of the Palacio del Inca, and then head to the village of Yumani.

A short hike awaits you to the famous Escalera del Inca – a stone staircase connected to the ancient history of the island.

We will also see the Fountain of the Three Waters and have time to rest and take photos with views of Lake Titicaca and the Andes Mountains.

In the afternoon we return to Copacabana and continue to La Paz.

Day 11 | La Paz – Bogota – Madrid

Breakfast.

Free time for last walks and shopping in La Paz.

At the appointed time, transfer to the airport.

Departure by flight La Paz – Bogota – Madrid.

Day 12 | Madrid

Arrival in Madrid.

Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

After the intense journey through Bolivia, the day is dedicated to the Spanish capital.

We will have the opportunity to explore the central parts of Madrid and see the Royal Palace, Plaza de España and the area around the Prado Museum.

Free time.

Overnight in Madrid.

Day 13 | Madrid – Sofia

Breakfast.

Free time until the transfer to the airport.

Flight Madrid – Sofia.

Arrival at Sofia airport.
