Day 1 | Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal

Upon landing in Kathmandu, you will be met at Tribhuvan International Airport by our local representative and driver. After the transfer, you will have the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Nepali dinner, with which we will begin your journey. During the dinner, you will receive detailed information about the upcoming program, the itinerary and the main highlights of your stay in Nepal.

Day 2 | Fly to Paro, Bhutan and travel to Thimphu

After breakfast, we will take the morning flight to Paro, where we will be met by our local Bhutanese team.

Our journey will begin with a visit to Thachog Lhakhang and its impressive traditional bridge made of iron chains. We will then visit the National Memorial Chorten, one of the country’s most important monuments, built in 1974 in memory of King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. The site is popular with locals and pilgrims who come daily to pay their respects.

Later we will visit Tashicho Dzong – an impressive complex, combining the functions of a Buddhist monastery and a fortress. The building is an impressive example of traditional Bhutanese architecture, in which construction is carried out without the use of nails and previously prepared written plans. Today, Tashicho Dzong is among the most significant administrative and religious centers of Bhutan, and it is here that the royal residence and government institutions are located.

Day 3 | Tour of Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan

After breakfast, we will set off on a walking tour through the picturesque surroundings of Thimphu. Our first destination will be Buddha Dordenma - the impressive statue of Buddha, located on a hill with a wonderful panoramic view of the city. We will reach it along a pleasant route of about 3.5 km in length, which takes approximately an hour.

We continue on foot to Changangkha Lakhang, the trek is about 4 km long and lasts approximately an hour and a half. After the walks, we will return to Thimphu and visit the School of Traditional Arts, where the traditional techniques and crafts of Bhutan are preserved and passed on to the younger generation.

Weather permitting, we will also take time to visit the Takin Reserve in Motithang. Here we will be able to see the Takin – an unusual and rare animal that has become a national symbol and national animal of Bhutan.

Day 4 | Scenic views on the way to Punakha

After breakfast, we will drive to the Dochula Pass, located at an altitude of 3110 m. The journey lasts about an hour and passes through beautiful mountain landscapes. In favorable weather conditions, the pass offers an impressive panorama of Gangkar Puensum - the highest peak in Bhutan, rising to 7570 m.

From Dochula we will take a scenic hiking route to the neighboring valley, following a part of the Trans-Bhutan Trail, known as the „Divine Madman’s Trail.“ The trek takes about two hours and offers beautiful views of the mountains and surrounding valleys.

The afternoon program includes a visit to Chimi Lhakhang, known as the Temple of Fertility. The shrine is associated with Drukpa Kunlay, a 15th-century Buddhist teacher who went down in history with his unconventional approach to spiritual teachings. To this day, the temple is a popular place for pilgrims who come here with prayers for fertility, happiness, and prosperity.

Weather permitting, we will also visit the Sangchen Dorji Lhundrup Monastery, picturesquely situated on a hill above the valley. From there, a wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding landscape opens up.

Day 5 | Trekking and rafting near Punakha

The day will start with a short morning hike to the Khamsum Yulei Namgyal Chorten. The walk takes about an hour and a half each way and offers beautiful panoramic views of the valley, green slopes and terraced rice fields. The quiet atmosphere and impressive scenery make the route a pleasant start to the day.

We will then head to the river for an exciting rafting experience in the Paro area. During the descent we will enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes, and after the adventure a picnic lunch awaits us by the river.

The program continues with a visit to Punakha Dzong – one of the most impressive architectural and spiritual complexes in Bhutan. The exquisite decoration, traditional architecture and rich artistic elements are a vivid reflection of the cultural and religious heritage of the country.

Day 6 | Back to Paro for temples and monasteries

After breakfast, we will head back to Paro, following the scenic mountain route. During the journey, we will enjoy impressive views of the Himalayas, green valleys and typical Bhutanese landscapes. Upon arrival in Paro, we will check into the hotel and continue exploring the city.

We will start with a visit to Kyuchu Lhakhang – one of the most ancient Buddhist sanctuaries in Bhutan, which holds an important place in the history and spiritual life of the country.

Next, we will visit the National Museum, located in Ta Dzong. Its exhibits present a rich variety of Bhutanese art, religious objects, traditional artifacts, and historical treasures.

The program will continue with Paro Dzong, also known as Rinpung Dzong – an impressive architectural complex, combining the functions of a fortress and a monastery. The place is also known from Bernardo Bertolucci's film "Little Buddha".

Free time in Paro will give us the opportunity to feel the unique atmosphere of the valley, enjoy the beautiful landscapes, and discover more of Bhutan's rich cultural heritage.

Day 7 | Hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest)

Today is dedicated to one of the most impressive landmarks in Bhutan – the famous Taktsang Monastery, known worldwide as the „Tiger’s Nest“. We will reach it via a picturesque mountain route, which can be more strenuous in places, but the effort is rewarded with incredible views and an unforgettable atmosphere.

For guests who do not wish to walk the entire route, it is possible to reach the panoramic café, from where there is also an impressive view of the monastery nestled high in the rocks.

After the trek, we will return to the hotel for a well-deserved rest. If desired and for an additional fee, you will have the opportunity to try a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath - an authentic way to relax after an active day.

The evening will end with a cozy traditional dinner at a farm, where we will immerse ourselves in the local atmosphere and hospitality. The combination of majestic nature, spiritual traditions and authentic experiences makes this day one of the most memorable moments of the trip.

Day 8 | Flight to Kathmandu and day tour to Patan

After breakfast, we will head to the airport for our flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we will continue with a transfer to Patan – one of the oldest cities in the Kathmandu Valley, known for its well-preserved traditional architecture and rich cultural heritage.

Once the capital of the Malla Kingdom, Patan is famous for its masterfully crafted bronze statues and impressive religious monuments. During the walk, we will discover the atmosphere of the old city with its narrow streets, historic squares and numerous temples. Among the sights are the Krishna Mandir temple and the museum, which provide an opportunity to trace the interweaving of Hindu and Buddhist traditions characteristic of the region.

In the afternoon we will return to Kathmandu and check into the hotel. The rest of the time will be free for rest or independent exploration of the city.

Day 9 | Holi Festival and Durbar Square in Kathmandu

After breakfast, we will head to the airport for our flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we will continue with a transfer to Patan – one of the oldest cities in the Kathmandu Valley, known for its well-preserved traditional architecture and rich cultural heritage.

Once the capital of the Malla Kingdom, Patan is famous for its masterfully crafted bronze statues and impressive religious monuments. During the walk, we will discover the atmosphere of the old city with its narrow streets, historic squares and numerous temples. Among the sights are the Krishna Mandir temple and the museum, which provide an opportunity to trace the interweaving of Hindu and Buddhist traditions characteristic of the region.

Day 10 | Tour of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal

The day will begin with an opportunity for an unforgettable experience – if you wish, you can join a panoramic flight over the Himalayas with a view of the majestic Everest. After the flight, we will return to the hotel for breakfast.

Then our program continues with a visit to some of the most significant spiritual and cultural sites in the Kathmandu Valley. Our first stop will be the Pashupatinath Temple, located on the banks of the Bagmati River. This is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines in Nepal, where we will be able to feel the atmosphere of the place and see traditional religious customs.

We will also visit Boudhanath – an impressive Buddhist stupa and one of the most important centers of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. A special spiritual atmosphere is created around the stupa, and visitors can observe prayer rituals and get up close and personal with Buddhist traditions.

The program will conclude with Swayambhunath, also known as the „Monkey Temple.“ Situated on a hill above Kathmandu, this ancient Buddhist complex impresses with both its spiritual significance and its beautiful panoramic views of the city and valley.

Day 11 | Fabulous landscapes and sunset on the way to Nagarkot

We will leave the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu behind and head to the peaceful hills of Nagarkot. The journey takes about an hour and a half and passes through picturesque landscapes and beautiful views of the valley.

On the way we will visit Changu Narayan – an ancient temple complex, considered one of the oldest Hindu temples in the Kathmandu Valley. The place impresses with its rich history, traditional architecture and valuable religious and artistic elements.

After visiting the temple, we will continue to Nagarkot - a popular mountain retreat, known for its peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views. Weather permitting, we will be able to enjoy the majestic Himalayas, and free time will give us the opportunity for a pleasant walk in nature and the fresh mountain air.

Accommodation in Nagarkot marks the beginning of our yoga retreat – a time to slow down, rest, and disconnect from the daily city dynamics. In the peaceful mountain environment, we will have the opportunity to enjoy nature and dedicate ourselves to complete relaxation.

Day 12 | Tour of Bhaktapur, the former capital of the Malla kingdom

After breakfast, we will head to the airport for a flight to Kathmandu. From there, we will continue to Bhaktapur – one of the best-preserved historical cities in the Kathmandu Valley and the former capital of the Malla Kingdom.

Bhaktapur impresses with its medieval atmosphere, traditional architecture and rich cultural heritage. The city is famous for its masterful woodcarving, traditional ceramics and colorful local festivals. During the walk we will pass through the narrow streets and ancient squares, among which the Nyatapola Temple and the Palace of 55 Windows stand out - impressive testimonies to the architectural and artistic traditions of Nepal.

In the afternoon, we will join an organized walking tour with a local guide. We will have the opportunity to take a close look at the historical center, temples and cultural attractions of Bhaktapur, while feeling the authentic atmosphere of the ancient city.

Day 13 | Departure from Kathmandu

Depending on your departure time, a transfer to the airport will be arranged. Our local representative, guide and driver will take care of the transfer and send you off with wishes for a pleasant and trouble-free journey.
