Day 1 | Welcome to Palermo
Departure from Sofia Airport with a direct airline flight Wizz Air or Ryanair. Landing at Palermo airport and transfer to the city.
The walking tour will immerse us in the atmosphere of Palermo – a city where centuries of history have left an impressive mark on the architecture, culture and way of life. Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans, Spaniards and French have all left their marks, turning Palermo into one of the most colorful cultural centers of the Mediterranean.
We will start from Porta Nuova, located right next to the impressive Palace of the Normans (Palazzo dei Normanni) and the famous Palatine Chapel. We continue to Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary„, impressive with the combination of different architectural styles.
The walk takes us to Quatro Canti Square„ – one of the most recognizable symbols of the historic center, and then to Pretoria Square„ with the magnificent Fountain of Shame. We will see and La Martorana Church„, where Byzantine mosaics, medieval architecture and Baroque elements create an extremely impressive ensemble.
Next Teatro Massimo – the largest opera house in Italy and one of the most impressive opera buildings in Europe.
Free time to explore Palermo on your own and the opportunity to visit some of the city's iconic landmarks - Church of San Cataldo„, known for its characteristic red domes, the Capuchin catacombs or the bustling market „"La Vucciria"“, reminiscent of its atmosphere of traditional Arab markets.
For those who wish, there will be an opportunity for an organized visit to The Norman Palace and the Palatine Chapel. The palace was the center of power of the Sicilian rulers in the Middle Ages, and today it is the seat of the regional parliament of Sicily. At its heart is the Cappella Palatina, a royal chapel that uniquely combines Byzantine, Arab and Norman traditions, which have become a symbol of Sicily's cultural diversity.

Day 2 | Palermo-Erice-Trapani
Breakfast. Free time in Palermo or as desired full-day excursion to Erice and Trapani.
Departure for Erice – one of the most charming medieval towns in Sicily, picturesquely situated high on a hill with impressive panoramas of the Sicilian coast. We will walk along the narrow cobblestone streets and discover medieval churches, ancient palaces and fortresses that give the city a unique atmosphere. Free time for walking and taking pictures.
In favorable weather conditions – opportunity for a panoramic trip with the cable car between Erice and Trapani, from where impressive views of the coast and the surrounding landscapes are revealed.
We continue to Trapani – a historic city in the westernmost part of Sicily and the administrative center of the province of the same name. The city is famous for its ancient salt mines, where the extraction of sea salt dates back to the time of the Phoenicians. Because of its importance, salt is known as „"the white gold of Trapani"“.
Walking tour of the historic center of Trapani and photo break at the picturesque salt pans, where traditional salt fields and windmills create one of the most characteristic landscapes of western Sicily.
Return to Palermo. Free time. Overnight stay
Day 3 | Cheffau and Castelbuono
Breakfast. Free time in Palermo or as desired full-day excursion to Cefalu and Castelbuono.
Departure for Cefalu – one of the most picturesque seaside towns in Sicily, known for its charming historic center, narrow streets and beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. A walking tour of the old town and a visit to the impressive Cefalu Cathedral, built in the characteristic Norman style and has become one of the symbols of the city.
Free time for walking and taking pictures, with the possibility of beach, as well as for visiting Mandraliska Museum„, housing a valuable collection of works of art, archaeological finds and historical artifacts.
We continue to Castelbuono – a picturesque medieval town nestled among the green slopes of the Madonie Natural Park. We will walk through the charming historic center with narrow streets, ancient buildings and cozy squares that preserve the authentic atmosphere of a Sicilian mountain town.
Free time for a walk and the opportunity to feel the peaceful rhythm of life in Madonie.
Return to Palermo. Overnight stay.
Day 4 | Palermo - Montreal
Breakfast. Check out of the hotel and departure for Monreale – a picturesque town located on a hill above Palermo, which offers an impressive panorama of the Sicilian capital and the surrounding area.
Visiting the famous Cathedral of Santa Maria Nuova„ – one of the most impressive monuments of Norman architecture in Sicily. The temple will impress us with its magnificent gilded mosaics depicting biblical scenes, spread over an area of nearly 6,000 sq. m.
We will have free time to stroll through the picturesque streets of Monreale, visit the small local shops and explore on our own. the Benedictine monastery complex, famous for its 228 columns decorated with religious and mythological motifs.
Important: When visiting cathedrals and churches, shoulders, neckline, and knees must be covered.
Transfer to Palermo airport. Departure to Bulgaria with a direct airline flight Wizz Air or Ryanair. Landing at Sofia Airport.
