Rafting Tara

Day 1: Departure from Bulgaria to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Distance: 560 km.
Welcoming guests at 7:00 PM at the rafting center, located on the riverbank and 18 km from the town of Foca.

Accommodation in bungalows and free evening.

There are facilities for volleyball and football and a corner with benches by the river. The entire complex is on the shore with a restaurant with a terrace over the water.

Dinner at 8:00 PM, a party around the fire and music of your choice. For dinner you will have the opportunity to try various specialties typical of the region, made on site from fresh, natural ingredients from the Tara River Canyon region.

Day 2: Rafting on the Tara River

Breakfast is served at 10:00 AM and includes specialties you can't try anywhere else – house-cured ham and warm donuts with cream cheese are just the beginning of our offer.

After breakfast it is time for rafting equipment – life jackets, helmets, wetsuits, wetsuit shoes, anurags. Transport by jeep to Brestanovica – the start of the rafting. Before starting there is training on how to deal with different situations during the rafting.

The first few hours we pass through the most attractive part of the Tara River and the Canyon. We stop at waterfalls, springs, for photos and swimming. After 25 km of adrenaline and breathtaking views, we arrive by boat to the rafting center at the restaurant. There are showers with hot water and we are ready for lunch with local specialties again – hot beef soup, lamb, kid, veal with delicious vegetables, salads, homemade pastries and many other specialties that will remain as a surprise.

After lunch, rest or swim. At 9:00 p.m. dinner. After a heavy lunch with meat from the mountains, for dinner we have grilled trout, baked potatoes and cream cheese, cornmeal porridge, spinach pie, cheese pie and meat pie cooked under a metal lid, yogurt... In our restaurant you can drink local red wine from the Trebinje winery, local wild pear brandy, and all other drinks, juices and beers.

Day 3: Tour + photo safari in Sutjeska National Park„

Breakfast is served until 10:00 and includes local specialties that you can't try anywhere else. Homemade cured ham, warm doughnuts with cream cheese and bread baked under a metal lid (sach) are just the beginning of our offer.

Next is a one-hour jeep ride to Sutjeska National Park„ (primary forest Peručica), where we reach a high panoramic point with an incredible view like you've never seen before.

At 11:00 a.m. we continue our mountain journey - a tour of the virgin forest, one of the last of its kind in Europe, with a magnificent view of the waterfall. Grasshopper with a height of 81 meters.

We continue with a jeep trip to the mountain ridge Prijevor, from where an impressive panorama opens up to most of the Sutjeska National Park, the highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Maglich, and the surrounding area.

We continue to the historical site of The Battle of the Sutjeska RiverTientishte.

Return to Bastasi, at our rafting center, around 4:30 p.m.
Lunch around 5:00 p.m. After lunch – free time for rest, walks or zipline above the campsite.

About Sutjeska National Park„

Sutjeska National Park is a national park located in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Established in 1962, it is the oldest national park in the country. It contains the highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maglich, with a height of over 2386 meters, located on the border with Montenegro.

The Strict Nature Reserve „Perućica, one of the last two remaining primary (virgin) forests in Europe, is also part of the park. The park is also known as the site of The Battle of Sutjeska in 1943 during World War II.

Trout and Grayling, cream cheese, banitsa, spinach pie and meat pie, cooked under a metal lid.
